A quick way to settle the food question
"What should I eat?" is one of the most common small decisions of the day, and one of the most tiring. This wheel takes it off your plate. It starts with 24 familiar meals, from pizza and tacos to curry, dumplings and a simple omelette, and picks one at random with a single spin.
Because the result is random, nobody has to be the person who decides. That makes it handy for couples, flatmates and families who keep saying "I don't mind, you choose".
Make the list yours
The wheel opens in the full Picker Wheel tool, so the starting list is only a suggestion. A few ideas:
- Remove anything you can't make or order nearby.
- Add the dishes you cook well, or the meals in your freezer.
- Turn on Weights and write 3.Curry to give a favourite three times the chance.
- Add "Your choice" as a slice for a bit of fun.
When the list looks right, save it on your device so it is ready tomorrow, or share the link with the people you eat with.
Modes for different situations
Normal mode keeps every meal on the wheel, which suits a one-off decision. Elimination mode removes each result after it is picked, so you can plan five different dinners for the week in five spins without repeats. Accumulation mode keeps a tally, which is a fun way to see which meal the wheel keeps landing on over a month.
Tips for using a food wheel
Agree the rules before you spin. Some households allow one re-spin per person; others treat the first result as final. If you are ordering in, keep the wheel to cuisines you can get delivered. If you are cooking, keep it to meals you have the ingredients for, so the result is something you can start right away.
If you eat with others often, save one wheel for cooking at home and one for eating out, so each spin gives a result you can act on straight away.
