Guess the Spin is a simple wheel guessing game. Choose a slice, spin, and see if the wheel lands where you said it would. A correct guess earns points and grows your streak; a wrong guess resets the streak and you start again.
It is free, runs in your browser and saves your best streak and best score on your device. The game is played for points only, which makes it a quick, low-pressure way to fill a spare minute or show a class how chance works.
How to play Guess the Spin
Pick a level, tap the slice you think the wheel will land on, then press SPIN.
1. Choose a level
The wheel can have 4, 8 or 12 slices. Each slice is a fruit or animal picture with its name, so even young players can follow along.
2. Lock in your guess
Tap a slice on the wheel, or tap its name, to lock in your guess.
3. Spin
Press SPIN and watch where the pointer stops.
4. Keep going
If you guessed right, your points go up and your streak grows. If not, the streak goes back to zero. Pick a slice and spin again.
Levels and scoring
A correct guess is worth as many points as there are slices on the wheel. A wrong guess earns no points and resets your streak.
- 4 slices: a 1 in 4 chance each spin, and 4 points for a correct guess.
- 8 slices: a 1 in 8 chance, and 8 points.
- 12 slices: a 1 in 12 chance, and 12 points.
Bigger wheels give more points per correct guess because correct guesses are rarer. Your best streak and best score are saved in your browser, and badges such as Lucky Three (a streak of 3) and Mind Reader (a streak of 5) unlock along the way.
What is the chance of guessing right?
On a wheel with 8 slices, every guess has a 1 in 8 chance of being right. The game shows this plain chance on screen for the level you pick.
Every spin is independent. The wheel does not remember earlier results, so a slice that just came up is exactly as likely to come up again as any other. No slice is ever due, and no pattern of past spins makes one guess smarter than another.
That is the honest math behind the game, and it is why a long streak feels special. On the 8-slice wheel, guessing right three times in a row happens only about once in 512 tries on average.
Daily Guess the Spin challenge
The Daily Challenge is 5 spins on the 8-slice wheel, and it is the same challenge for everyone today. A new one starts every day at midnight UTC.
After your five guesses you can share how many you got right as a row of green and red squares. With a 1 in 8 chance per spin, even one or two correct guesses is a good day, and comparing rows with friends is half the fun.
Ideas for classrooms, families and parties
Because the rules take ten seconds to explain, Guess the Spin works with almost any group.
- Math lessons: a hands-on way to show probability. Have the class guess, spin 20 times, then compare the results with the 1 in 8 chance on screen.
- Young kids: the 4-slice level with fruit and animal pictures is easy to follow and good for naming practice.
- Families: take turns guessing and see who can build the longest streak.
- Parties: a quick group game while you wait for food; everyone calls a slice before the spin.
- Brain breaks: a one-minute pause after a lesson or during a meeting.
Tips, and why Guess the Spin is fair
- Start on 4 slices to learn the game, then move up for more points per correct guess.
- Do not chase patterns. Past spins tell you nothing about the next one, so pick any slice you like.
- Treat the streak as the real challenge. A streak of 3 on the 8-slice wheel is rare, and one on the 12-slice wheel is rarer still.
- Play the Daily Challenge with friends so everyone faces the same five spins.
Each spin uses WheelPlay's crypto-random wheel engine, so every slice has an equal chance and results cannot be predicted from earlier spins. The game shows the plain chance of each guess, and the Daily Challenge is identical for everyone that day. It is a points-only game played for fun, with no sign-up and nothing to buy.
