WheelPlay Truth or Dare is a clean truth or dare game for kids, families, friends and classrooms. Add the players, spin the wheel to see whose turn it is, then choose Truth, Dare or Random to get a prompt.
Every prompt is family-friendly, kind and safe to do indoors. The game is free, works in your browser on a phone, tablet or classroom screen, and needs no sign-up.
How to play truth or dare online
Add names, pick a pack, spin to choose a player, and let that player choose Truth, Dare or Random.
1. Add players
Type 2 to 12 player names.
2. Pick a pack
Choose Kids, Family, Friends or Classroom. The packs are described below.
3. Spin for a player
Tap SPIN and the wheel picks whose turn it is, so nobody has to decide who goes next.
4. Truth, Dare or Random
The chosen player picks Truth, Dare or Random, and a prompt card appears. Read it out, answer the question or do the dare, then spin again.
Card buttons
- Skip shows a new prompt.
- Favourite (the star) saves a prompt your group liked.
- Copy copies the prompt text so you can reuse or share it.
Prompts do not repeat until the whole pack has been used, so long games stay fresh.
The four truth or dare packs
Pick the pack that matches who is playing. All four follow the same family-friendly rules; they differ in tone and topics.
Kids
Truth or dare for kids: simple questions and playful, easy dares suited to younger children.
Family
Family truth or dare with prompts that work across ages, so kids, parents and grandparents can all play together.
Friends
Prompts for a group of friends who know each other, still clean and kind like every other pack.
Classroom
Prompts that suit a class, club or youth group, good for icebreakers and getting-to-know-you sessions.
Why every prompt is family-friendly
Every prompt is written to be kind and safe to do indoors, with nobody left out or made to feel bad. In practice that means:
- No teasing about looks or bodies.
- Nothing risky or dangerous, and no eating anything that is not food.
- No pranks on other people and no using someone else's phone.
- Nobody has to leave the room or the house.
- Nothing designed to make a player feel awkward or hurt.
Players can always press Skip for a different prompt, no questions asked. That keeps the game comfortable for shy players and lets a parent or teacher run it with confidence.
Daily truth or dare challenge
The Daily Challenge is three prompts for everyone today: one truth, one dare and one bonus. A new set starts every day at midnight UTC.
It is an easy way to open a game night, start a lesson, or give the family something to talk about at dinner, knowing that friends and relatives elsewhere have the same three prompts today.
Ideas for classrooms, families and parties
A clean truth or dare game works anywhere people want to get to know each other a little more.
- Classrooms: use the Classroom pack as a first-week icebreaker or a Friday brain break.
- Family game night: the Family pack lets every age join in.
- Birthday parties and sleepovers: the Kids pack keeps things light and silly.
- Clubs, camps and youth groups: spin the names so everyone gets a turn.
- Video calls: share your screen and play with relatives far away.
Tips for a fun, fair game
- Agree before you start that anyone can skip a prompt.
- Let younger players choose Random if they cannot decide.
- Star the prompts your group loved so you can find them next time.
- Keep dares quick so turns move fast and everyone stays involved.
- Switch packs as the group changes, for example from Kids to Family when the grown-ups join.
The wheel that picks whose turn it is uses WheelPlay's crypto-random wheel engine, so the choice of player is random rather than anyone's decision, and nobody gets picked on. The Daily Challenge prompts are identical for everyone that day.
