Would You Rather is a free online game of clean would you rather questions for kids, families, friends and classrooms. Each card shows two options, A and B, and everyone votes for the one they would choose.
Questions come in four packs and all of them are family-friendly. Play on a phone, tablet or classroom screen with no sign-up, and use the wheel to decide who answers first.
How to play would you rather
Pick a pack, read the card, vote A or B, then press Next.
1. Pick a pack
Choose Kids, Family, Friends or Classroom.
2. Add names (optional)
Type player names if you like, and the wheel picks who answers first. You can also skip names and just play.
3. Vote A or B
A card shows two options. Each player taps A or B, and the game keeps a tally of the group's votes on this device, so you can see which way the room leans.
4. Next question
Press Next for a new question. Use Favourite to save one you liked, or Copy to paste it into a message or a lesson plan.
Would you rather question packs
There are four packs with one shared set of family-safe rules. Pick the one that fits who is playing.
Kids
Would you rather questions for kids: easy to read, playful choices for younger children.
Family
Family would you rather questions that every age can answer, so parents, kids and grandparents can play together.
Friends
Questions for a group of friends, still clean and kind like every other pack.
Classroom
Questions that suit a class, good for discussion, speaking practice and morning meetings. Each one gives students a simple opinion to explain, which works well for younger learners and English language learners alike.
Family-friendly by design
Every question follows the same family-safe rules as WheelPlay Truth or Dare, so the game is kind, clean and safe to play indoors.
- No teasing about looks or bodies.
- Nothing risky or dangerous.
- No pranks on others and nothing that asks anyone to leave the room.
- No choices meant to single out a player or make them feel bad.
Because there is never a wrong answer, would you rather is one of the easiest ways to get quiet players talking. Each vote is a small, safe opinion, and the reasons behind it often lead to the best conversations.
Daily would you rather challenge
The Daily Challenge is 5 questions, the same for everyone today. A new set starts every day at midnight UTC.
Answer all five and share your A/B picks, so friends and family can see where you agree and where you part ways. It takes about a minute and makes a handy conversation starter for a group chat, a breakfast table or the first minutes of class.
Ideas for classrooms, families and parties
Two choices and a quick vote fit into almost any gathering.
- Classrooms: a morning meeting starter; ask each student to give one reason for their pick.
- English and language lessons: practice giving opinions with full sentences that use because.
- Family dinners: one question per course, or the Daily Challenge before bed.
- Car rides: a passenger reads the card and everyone votes out loud.
- Parties and sleepovers: add names so the wheel decides who answers first.
- Team meetings: the Family or Friends pack makes a light icebreaker.
Tips, and why the game is fair
- Ask each player to explain their choice. The reasons are often more fun than the votes.
- Star favorite questions to build your own list for next time.
- Add names when the group is big, so the wheel, not the loudest voice, decides who starts.
- Look at the tally after each vote and ask someone from the smaller side to make their case.
The wheel that picks who answers first uses WheelPlay's crypto-random wheel engine, so the starting player is a random choice. The Daily Challenge is identical for everyone that day, which makes shared A/B picks easy to compare.
