End the "where shall we go?" loop
Group plans often stall at the same question. One person wants noodles, another wants something light, and nobody wants to be blamed if it is a letdown. A restaurant picker wheel hands the decision to chance, and everyone can watch it happen.
This wheel lists 24 cuisines and restaurant types rather than specific places, from Italian and Korean to Ethiopian, a brunch spot or a street food market. That keeps it useful wherever you live.
Turn it into your local list
The wheel opens in the full Picker Wheel, so you can tailor it in a minute:
- Replace cuisines with the names of restaurants in your area.
- Remove anything that is too far away or too pricey for tonight.
- Add weights, like 2.Thai, for places the whole group likes.
- Save it so your local list is ready for next time.
Try somewhere new every week
If you want to explore, use Elimination mode. Each cuisine is removed once it is picked, so you work through the whole list over the coming weeks without repeats. It is a simple way to get out of a takeaway rut and discover dishes you have never ordered.
Fair for groups
Share the wheel link in the group chat before you meet, or spin it on your phone at the table. Agree beforehand whether a re-spin is allowed. Many groups give each person one veto, which keeps it fair and still gets you to a table quickly.
If the group is split on budget or distance, make two saved wheels: one for quick, casual spots and one for special occasions. Spin the casual wheel on ordinary evenings and save the other for birthdays and celebrations. You can also embed a wheel on a club or team page so everyone uses the same list for monthly meals out.
For a special evening, spin a few days ahead so there is time to book a table at a place that serves the chosen cuisine.
